Painting Animals, Plants and Landscapes Ages 5-7 This class is designed with young artists in mind. Work from beautiful photos of the natural world including familiar and wild animals and plants to create brilliant textural paintings to hang proudly in the home forever! Use acrylic paint to explore different modes of application including brushes, sponges, plastic knives, leaves and more! All levels. No experience necessary. Bring your enthusiasm for color, love of nature and eagerness to learn! (Note: 2 hr. class…bring a snack!) NOTE: Only six students will be accepted for this class-register early to hold a spot!

Work from beautiful photos of the natural world including familiar and wild animals and plants to create brilliant textural paintings to hang proudly in the home forever! Use acrylic paint to explore different modes of application including brushes, sponges, plastic knives, and more! All levels. No experience necessary. Styled to Rock Workshops Ages 10-13

Join our edgy rock and roll design team to create fashion-forward looks like a pop star celebrity icon! Each of the four fashion design workshops will allow you to gain a taste of real life experience in the design room. Each workshop will focus on one of the four processes off ashion design development: fashion research, illustration, technical flats, and construction techniques. These workshops are upbeat, high-energy and fun! We will incorporate students’ interests in music, media and current scene trends. Immerse yourself in one design aspect or take all four to complete your fashion-forward look. Students who have taken prior workshops will be guided to incorporate their prior knowledge of the four process off ashion design to build on their fashion forward look. Instructor: Missy Bernstein

Styled to Rock Workshop 1 Workshop 1- Fashion Research Mood Boards Students will discover the many different research engines critical for following fashion trends in an ever-changing creative market. Developing their eye for fashion forward design and learning the necessary ingredients to design a trendy fashion line. Students will design their own mood board.

Styled to Rock Workshop 2 Workshop 2- Fashion Trends in Illustration. Students will be exposed to current fashion design artists and the many different ways to express a fashion design through art & illustration. Each student will develop a fashion sketchbook

Ages 10 to 13  $64.00 Course Fee       Saturday 10/11, 12:15 – 4:15 PM

Styled to Rock Workshop 3 Workshop 3- Technical Flats & Pattern Making – Students will focus on the critical technical side of how a designer turns an illustration or sketch in to a technical tool for constructing a garment in real life. Illustrate your own fashion design technical flat & pattern.

Styled to Rock Workshop 4 Workshop 4- Garment Construction Techniques – Four different garment reconstruction techniques will be taught to students: dip dye, stencil print, embellishment, and reconstruction. Students will design and construct their own fashion forward look using one of the four garment construction techniques. Students must bring a white T-SHIRT to class!

Acrylic Painting for Adults This class is for beginner to intermediate level painters. Students will explore various painting techniques and will learn basic concepts of composition, value, and color theory. Still lives will be provided by the instructor for students to work from. Supply List: Canvas paper, Canvas (optional), Painter’s palette or palette paper, palette knife, water container, vine charcoal, kneaded eraser paper towels or rag wipe brushes Paint: Be sure to buy artists acrylic paint such as Grumbacher, Golden, Windsor Newton, or Liquitex it will come in tubes NOT craft paint such as “Folk Art” in little bottles. Utrecht and Blick both have their own brand. • Cadmium Yellow Light • French Ultramarine Blue • Cerulean Blue • Alizarin Crimson • Cadmium Red Medium • Titanium White • Dioxazine Purple (optional) • Hooker’s Green (optional) • Yellow Ochre (optional) • Burnt Sienna (optional) • Burnt Umber (optional) • Cadmium Orange (optional) Brushes should be specific for acrylic paint. Ages 18 to 99   156.00 Course Fee – Materials Fee  Wednesdays 11/05, 11/12, 11/19, 12/03, 10:30 – 1:30 PM

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of payment and is accepted through the first day of class when seats are available. Sorry, no refunds except for classes not running due to insufficient enrollment. Register today by mailing completed registration form and class fee check (payable to STAC) or to pay with a credit card on our website. Makeup classes are not available for absences.
